Program Description:

In the face of fear and uncertainty from a rapidly changing world, how do you get employees truly engaged and focused on improving your business? Rapid Retooling is what leading organizations are doing to keep ahead of the increasing pace of change.

Rapid Retooling (ASTD Press, May 2013), reviews the practical experience of the authors and business cases from Cisco, FedEx, Staples, Google, BMW, McDonalds, the US Patent Office, The City of New York, UBS and others.   These cases show how success in today’s rapidly changing business landscape come from focusing on 5 requirements: building business acumen, creating innovative cultures, busting down silos, energizing yourself and energizing your team.

Specifically, in this evening session, we will:
1. Discuss why Rapid Retooling?  How high is the need in your organization? Why these 5 requirements of Rapid Retooling?  What is their source and how do they compare to other leading models?
2. Provide and apply a simple assessment tool to determine which of the 5 requirements you need to focus on in your organization
3. Review tools for each of the 5 areas that you can use with leaders and teams to enable them to rapidly retool.
