James Alexander, has over twenty-five years’ experience in the field of organization development and training in both the private and public sectors. Mr. Alexander currently serves as a trainer with the federal government at the Department of Agriculture (USDA) in the Animal Plant Health Inspection Service (APHIS).In this capacity, he also provides coaching and internal organization development services to the Agricultural Marketing Service (AMS). James’ academic credentials include a Bachelor’s Degree in Social Research and a Masters’ Degree in Planning and Administration both from Antioch University. He is a graduate of the Georgetown University’s Organization Development Program. James’ coaching practice supports leaders in managing change, improving performance and developing executive presence. There are a number of assessment instrument that James uses to support his coaching practice. These instruments include the MBTI® ,Hogan Personality Assessments, Bar-On’ Emotional Intelligence Quotient, Conflict Dynamics Profile® and the Strength Deployment Inventory® .
Over the years, James has been an active member of CBODN. He was President of CBODN from 2002-2003 and he was the conference chair in 2001 and 2003. He has served as facilitator/co-facilitator of the Public Sector Community of Practice (Formerly Government COP ) since 2012.
