Shara is a training and education professional who is passionate about the empowerment of individuals through increased knowledge and skills. She has extensive experience working in the labor movement and uses her abilities to advance the effectiveness of labor organizations. She is a strong social justice advocate who avidly seeks to develop other millennials to be effective agents of change in their communities and organizations. Shara has consulted with non-profits like Us Helping Us of DC, International Foundation for Electrical Systems of DC and most recently Communities in School of Northern Virginia. Shara possesses skills in facilitation, workshop/training development, change management, and strategic planning.
Shara currently works as an Education Specialist for the American Federation of Government Employees focusing on instructional design and e-learning implementation.
Shara holds a M.S. in Organization Development and Knowledge Management from George Mason University and a B.S. in Communications from George Mason University.
