Richmond Organizational Development SIG

"Happiness Matters"

Facilitator: Rachel Brozenske, SPHR (click here for bio)

Description:

It’s a chicken-and-egg conundrum. Do happy people accomplish great things? Or does accomplishing great things make people happy? More and more, researchers believe that attitude comes first and has measurable impact on nearly all dimensions of work performance. Not only that, we’re learning more and more about the practical keys to happiness and how these mechanisms are being successfully incorporated into organizational practices.

In this session, participants will review findings from recent research in neuroscience, leadership and performance and explore the implications for HR Professionals and successful organizations. As part of the session, Rachel Brozenske of Allison Partners will discuss how personal happiness impacts work performance, explore some of the practices that help foster happiness in yourself and others, and share suggestions to help organizations reap the benefits of a happier workforce.
