Coaching CoP - Reinventing Retirement: Coaching Baby Boomers through their Biggest Change

Description: Our population is aging and retirement is a process that impacts us financially, intellectually, emotionally and spiritually. The purpose of this program is to: (1) examine five fundamental requirements that are needed in retirement for people to have fulfilling and successful lives; and (2) identify the powerful and innovative conversations that will support people as they transition to this next important life phase.

Presenters: Jane Kerschner and Fran Randolph
Jane Kerschner supports clients in searching for ways to express more passion, purpose and meaning in their lives. Now journeying as a Baby Boomer, Jane creates opportunities for Baby Boomers and beyond to have critical conversations about retiring, reinvention, and conscious aging. She holds certifications from Newfield Network, International Coaching Federation, True Purpose Institute®, Five Rings Somatic Coaching, Retirement Options, and Wise Aging Facilitation with the Institute of Jewish Spirituality.

Fran Randolph has had first-hand experience going from a successful 24-year career in the federal government as a division director and branch chief to reinventing herself in the next chapter of her life as a powerful and effective coach. Fran has both masters and doctorate degrees in public health from the University of California, Berkeley. She also holds certifications from the Coaches Training Institute, Retirement Options, the International Coach Federation and the Federal Government’s Internal Coaching Program.

Please Note: A $5 per person donation is requested to help pay for meeting expenses. 

We tend to receive more than enough responses to fill the room within just a few hours.  In order to balance who attends we delay notifying those on the attendance list for up to a week to include those who have not attended recently.  We also encourage new members to attend.  We apologize if you do not get on the attendance list each month and hope you understand that we want to include more members, not only those who responded quickly.  We limit our sessions to 30 attendees as we sit in a circle to encourage full participation.  RSVP only if you want to attend, no need to send 'regrets.'

Please let us know if you are a new member or have not attended the last three or more sessions (December  through April).  We often receive more than twice the number of requests for attendance than we can take.  We are very grateful for your interest and support. 

We ask that you arrive around 6:40 pm for greeting and networking (please put on a name tag), signing in, donating $5, meeting new people, and finding a seat as we begin promptly at 7:00 pm.  The session will end around 8:40, with networking until 9 pm when the library closes. 

We need a few volunteers to help set up the room.  Please let me know if you can assist us at 6:30.

You will receive notification within the next seven days about whether you are on the list to attend or on the waiting list.  Also, please include the phone number where you can be reached if we need to contact you the day of the meeting. 
Be sure to check your email for any updates if the weather is challenging or for any other changes that evening.  Last month we had to change the meeting location as library renovations at the Davis Library had not been completed.

The waiting  list is for those who are willing to contact Peggy on the day of the session to fill cancellations.  We sometimes are able to accommodate those on the waiting list.

Policy for people who are “no-shows”
Since we have terrific programs scheduled, we want to provide an opportunity for as many attendees as possible.  To enable us to fill openings please email Peggy at least before 10 a.m. the day of the meeting, Tuesday,  if you will not be able to attend so she can contact those who email to fill openings.  From now on those who are 'no-shows' will  be placed on the waiting list for future meetings until we have openings.  If you contact Peggy after 10 a.m. she may still be able to fill your place.
