Topic: How to Create Focus When There is Too Much to Focus On.

Participants will learn how to:

  • Pay Attention – cut through the noise to stay focused on what supports your task at hand
  • Prioritize – make smart/quick decisions when faced with competing concerns
  • Create Boundaries – manage your own expectations and what others expect of you

Presenter:  Jill Nissan is the Human Capital Program Manager in the Office of Human Resources at the Export-Import Bank. She has a background in performance management, organizational development, and HR metrics/accountability.

SIG Description: The Government SIG hosts monthly conference calls to discuss topics or techniques relevant to the practice of OD in federal or local government.

Vision: We hold ourselves accountable as life-long learners in the field to contribute to the future growth and knowledge of government and public sector OD practices.
Mission:   To share best OD practices, trends and policies in the government and publicsectors through monthly SIG meetings for both internal and external consultants.

Meeting Frequency & Format:  Fourth Wednesday of each month- conference call format
