Public Sector CoP (formerly Government SIG)

Program Description:

The CBODN has a new and revised Community of Practice, the Public Sector CoP, and we’re looking for more members with similar interests. We serve the same practitioners as the retired the Government SIG, but with a new name and new faces. There are many of us who work in or with government organizations (federal, state and local) and a peer network can help us grow our skills and solve problems. No one understands these organizations like another OD professional. We have some plans for group discussions and presentations by SMEs, but we want to open up the planning process to anyone who’s interested. The best way to help each other is to hear what everyone needs. We’ll be meeting on May 19th at 6:00 pm-7:30 pm to discuss ideas and the issues we face. Join us!

If you would like to attend this meeting ,please contact: govsig@yahoo , in order receive more detailed information.

Some potential future topics for sessions include:

· Presidential Transitions
· Federal Viewpoint Survey/Engaging Federal Employees in the Workplace
· Getting Leadership Buy In
· Best Practices for Engaging Field Employees
· Cohesive Workplaces
· Blending Collaborative Environments for Diverse Team Members
· Change Management/Leadership Efforts
· Developing Appropriate Evaluations.
