About the Role

The President of the Board oversees the day-to-day operations of CBODN and works with each of the other Board members to meet the goals set forth by the Board for the year. Most importantly, the goals involve enhancing membership value with the Network by providing state-of-the-art resources to seasoned and new practitioners alike.  The President will work closely with the Bookkeeper to ensure that CBODN continues to operate in positive financial state. Together with the Bookkeeper, he/she will ensure that CBODN’s budget is on target and that operations are in compliance with existing contracts and the network’s bylaws.  Should changes need to be made to the operations of CBODN due to financial hardships, the information will be presented to the Board by the President for full Board vote.

The President shall create the agenda for and lead the monthly Board Meetings, ensuring that each Board Member is afforded the opportunity to present updates, concerns, upcoming actions, and accomplishments. The President will ensure that any Motions set forth in a Board Meeting shall be accurately documented and implemented. The President will represent CBODN to any potential sponsor to support the Director of Conference and subsequent committee to gain financial support for the Conference, in addition to potential sponsorship throughout the years.

The President mentors the Vice President throughout the year to ensure a smooth transition of the Vice President into the President role.  At the end of the fiscal year (June 30) or appropriate term, the President will become the Past President for a one-year term.
